With the impacts of the pandemic continuing on the reservation, Navajo Santa made two Mega Food Deliveries to Aneth Community School on March 2 and Bluff Elementary School on April 13. The pallets were delivered to the schools and faculty and staff boxed the items for the student’s families to pick up. There were enough food boxes for 126 Aneth Community School families, and 90 Bluff Elementary School families. Food boxes were placed in the back of vehicles to minimize interaction and possible exposure.
The food items were purchased from the Spanish Fork, Utah, Macey’s store which gave us a significant discount. Travis Hale of Ponds Plumbing & Heating once again donated his trailer and truck for both deliveries. Hand Sanitizers and masks were also donated. Huge Thanks to Mike Dahl for spearheading the projects and coordinating with the schools and to our board members and elves who helped with the deliveries.
