Navajo Santa’s Family Delivery received a gift of unique, handmade dolls this past Christmas from Leslie Peterson of Hurricane, Utah. Leslie has made these dolls in the past and gifted them to organizations for delivery to young girls in Africa. The COVID-19 pandemic made this yearly tradition more difficult so Leslie looked to gift them closer to home.

Navajo Santa and the young gift recipients couldn’t be more pleased. The 45 dolls are all different, from their yarn-haired heads to their colorful dresses, each 12-inch doll is as unique as the children who received them.

Toni Dee our Navajo Nation liaison added these to our deliveries in the communities of Rock Point Chapter House, Monument Valley and Montezuma Creek. The dolls brought smiles and a sweet Christmas surprise to all who received them. A BIG thank you to Leslie for making the beautiful dolls and working with Navajo Santa.
