The T’iis Nazbas Community School (K-8th) held a Christmas ornament art contest for the students of this Teec Nos Pos school. Navajo Santa contributed markers and glitter gel pens to each of the 100 students. The school provided the ornaments.
Currently on a distant learning model, the art supplies were delivered to each student along with their lunch and lesson plans. Students submitted pictures of their ornaments to their teachers, who then picked the winning ornament for each grade level. The winners received an art supply kit.
The school was very appreciative of our contribution in helping to make the project a success. Navajo Santa was grateful to be involved—Yá’át’ééh Késhmish to the very artistic Teec Bears and their teachers.
