NAVAJO SANTA GOES TO SCHOOL AT NAVAJO MOUNTAIN
August 22, 2008

NAVAJO MOUNTAIN, UT. — Navajo Santa’s trip to the remote community of Navajo Mountain was highly anticipated, and the scenery luminous.

Principal Janine Smith welcomed us to Navajo Mountain High School where the students from the high school and Naatsis´ Áán Community School came to receive coats, sweatshirts, backpacks, and school supplies.

Joseph Carbone, head of Eye Care For Kids Foundation and Dr. Richard Willis tested the students vision and will make free glasses for those students in need.

Dr. Darrell Thomas and his wife Marty presented a program on oral hygiene and gave students toothbrushes and toothpaste.

In all Navajo Santa provided back-to-school items for 144 students at Navajo Mountain and presented a check to Naatsis´ Áán Community School for one thousand dollars to be used at the discretion of the administration.
