BLUFF, UT. — The Navajo Santa Delivery of 2003 over the weekend of December 5, 6 and 7 is to date our most successful! Navajo Santa's Sub-For-Santa delivery took place Friday, December 5, with Christmas gift deliveries presented to 26 homes. These families, most without running water and electricity and identified as in need, live on the Utah side of the reservation in remote locations. Each family received items from a "wish list" obtained earlier in the year as well as blankets, jackets, household items, toiletries, axes, shovels, winter clothing, books, school supplies, toys and a food box.

The following day, Navajo Santa held a public distribution on the reservation at White Rocks, just outside of Bluff, Utah. We estimate that over seven-hundred sixty Navajos attended the giveaway followed by a community dinner. Each recipient family received Christmas gifts including a food box of 25 pounds of Bluebird flour, a blanket and hygiene kits. In addition, children received toys, books, school supplies and bicycles.
